In honor of Mother’s Day this past Sunday, I thought I would share pictures from the special day…

Flowers ready to be planted this week (the mums were given to all the “Mums” at Theissens, which I thought was really neat!)
It really was a lovely day. The weather was beautiful and it was nice to spend a whole day together as a family!
A quick request for my fellow bloggers. My friend Sleepy Bard over at The Insomniac’s Dream is a mistress of words. If you have never read her blog (and are not easily offended by language or subject matter) now would be the time to discover something new! Next week she is publishing a blog post about the weirdest places that you have ever written down an idea for a blog post. Want to contribute? Pen a paragraph or two about the strangest place you’ve written down a blog idea and the strangest place you have thought of a blog idea and send it to insomniacsdream13@gmail.com
Love the pic with the kids, we have to tempt our dog with treats for him to look at the camera, and even them he gives us trouble. gardening is a great activity to do on Mother’s day, I bet they love to watch the flowers continue to bloom.
My dog is a ham! Not only are the kids working in the garden with dad, I’m working on making them a little garden that they can do whatever they want in.
that is a wonderful idea!
Looks like you had an ideal Mother’s Day. Memories to treasure.
Yes it was very nice. Evil Genius gets extra points this year. 😉
Oh beautiful Mother’s Day pictures and am so with you that I was so happy to spend the day together with my gang as a family, too!! 🙂

I am so glad that the weather cooperated. After the cold weather we had just days ago, I wasn’t so sure. Great pictures Sarah!!
It was a good day!
great pose with the kids!
Thanks, though I had to do a bit of creative editing to get the, um, doggy parts out of the picture!
What a fun way to spend the day…we did the same here planting our garden for Mother’s Day!
I didn’t plant, I supervised. And that was fine with me. I have a black thumb when it comes to plants!
You guys are just too cute. I love the dog. He should model.
Thanks for the shout out. “Mistress of Words” I love it! I also enjoy that I come with a disclaimer about language and content. My work here is done.
❤
I was trying to think of the most diplomatic way to word that! I just didn’t want someone to come over and go “WHOA! My eyes! My eyes!” (Especially if they read the jalapeno post!) 😉 I’m used to ya, some of my readers might have a bit of a spell there!
I love how you described me, no worries! Yes, I get that. Today’s post opens with “Yo, motherf’ers.” (look, I censored myself)
Always be yourself lady, always! 😉
I love Sleepy Bard. And I love your photos. Here, I haven’t planted any flowers yet. Why? Because I am seriously terrified of digging into the dirt and seeing the cicadas who are on their way up up up into my world when the ground temp reaches 64 degrees. Weird. I know.
They are creepy, I get that!
I love the Mums. 🙂 I wish we had a garden, but we thought we might have to move this summer and it wasn’t worth it. Now, I think we’re past planting time so I’m going to just have to make friends with overabundant gardens and try next year. I’m no green thumb, but outside plants are much harder to over-water. 🙂
I kill everything. I’m shocked my kids and pets have survived.
Then there is hope for me then too! Yay! 🙂
You have a beautiful family, my friend!!!
Thank you!
Looks like you had a great day!
It was! Apparently I’ve used up all the Mother’s Day magic, because today the little one was pretty ornery!
Planting is so therapeutic….happy mother’s day!
So is watching it being done. 😉
I’m so glad you had such a nice day. I would love a day like that. I guess there’s pros and cons to having a big family.
Oh definitely!
Love the pic of you and the kids and the 4 legged one too;) It’s nice to get a face to go with the names of the people we read;)
vicky
Yes it is. I still have to stop and think who writes what blog a lot of the time because I follow so many. Pictures really help. Yes that doggie is quite a ham!
Whoa…you’re planting things?
Dude, we just got frost.
Stupid mother nature.
Your family is adorable and oh so full of happy.
We just had snow a couple of weeks ago! I think Mother Nature is losing her mind!
I see the Professor is holding a plastic rake…must be the same one that the kids were throwing around the other day!!
It is! 😉
gorgeous snaps, lovely memories. x
Thank you!
Love these pictures!! Looks like a beautiful day too!
It was pretty much perfect.
